Yesterday, we held the second in a series of expert-led think-tank group meetings on the future of social care.
The steering group was established back in March, comprising professionals from across the social care community to explore the potential to better support the sector in Wales.
This week’s meeting focused specifically on the topic of housing. At the heart of the sector’s problems is our ageing population’s increasing demand.
The right housing models, along with appropriate care, can play a critical part in freeing up NHS and social care services.
The group will continue to explore various options and themes to improve social care delivery in the medium to long term.
