Mid and West Wales AM Eluned Morgan joined a group of Welsh Labour women AMs to urge the public to ‘Back the Plaque’ in a campaign to give remarkable Welsh women the recognition they deserve by installing purple plaques on their former homes or places of work.

Eluned Morgan said, “International Women’s Day is a timely reminder that we need more recognition for women, and for women in Wales”.

The first plaque, launched to mark International Women’s Day, will recognise the work of former AM Val Feld who died in 2001. She was a women’s rights campaigner, former director of Shelter Cymru and the Equal Opportunities Commission Wales
