Regional Assembly Member, Eluned Morgan was delighted to meet six-year-old Elly to support her Ward 10 Flag Appeal.
“Elly’s Flag is amazing,” she said. “It’s fantastic that she’s now raised over £25,500 for the Ward 10 development at Withybush Hospital. Elly’s truly an inspiration and it was great to hear that her appeal has just provided its first piece of equipment for the ward.
“I’ve spoken to Bernardine Rees, who chairs Hywel Dda Health Board, about improving services at Withybush Hospital including cancer services. We agreed it’s really important to ensure services can be delivered as close to home as possible. The building work that’s just started at the Chemotherapy Day Unit will help provide a better environment and care for patients locally. Potentially it could reduce the need for patients to travel as well.
